Avant and InterVest Capital Partners Announce $1 billion Forward Flow Agreement
Multi-year deal marks new collaboration and provides Avant new source of funding
CHICAGO, Sept. 15, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avant, LLC (“Avant”) today announced a new multi-year forward flow agreement with InterVest Capital Partners (“InterVest”), a leading alternative investment firm specializing in specialty finance, marking the companies’ first partnership.
Under the agreement, InterVest, through its affiliate, has committed to purchase up to $1 billion of personal loans facilitated through Avant's platform over a 24-month period, subject to customary funding and financing conditions. The transaction gives Avant access to a new source of capital, supporting the company’s mission of expanding credit access for middle-income Americans.
“We are pleased to partner with Avant, reflecting our strategy of partnering with market-leading businesses that pair prudent, time-tested credit risk management with strong technology and seasoned management teams.” said Ari Rosenberg, Managing Director at InterVest. “Avant’s platform expands access to personal loan and credit card solutions for everyday consumers, and we are proud to support that mission through this transaction.”
“Avant was built to make credit more accessible for middle-income Americans, and this agreement supports that mission,” said Kevin Friedrich, Chief Financial Officer, Avant. “We’re excited about this collaboration with InterVest who bring meaningful experience in specialty finance and consumer credit to the table. Reliable, diverse sources of capital are core to serving our customers well. This gives us flexibility to invest in our platform for the customers who rely on us.”
The collaboration reflects Avant’s broader funding strategy, which combines whole loan sales, securitizations and institutional partnerships like this one. Adding capital sources beyond traditional channels helps Avant reduce reliance on any single funding stream and maintain flexibility across a range of market conditions. This added capacity supports the company’s ability to serve borrowers across its platform.
Willkie Farr & Gallagher acted as legal advisor to InterVest in the transaction and Chapman and Cutler LLP acted as legal advisor to Avant.
